Location

The Nashville Sign is located at the Broadway/West End split, gateway to Midtown Nashville and points west, including Vanderbilt, Music Row, West End Avenue and Broadway/21st Avenue corridors, and the Green Hills and Belle Meade neighborhoods.

Traffic

The Nashville Sign boasts a truly unique position as the anchor of the 13 lane intersection of Broadway, West End Avenue, and 16th Avenue. This well-known intersection is one of the busiest in the state and is used by residents, tourists, and all forms of city transportation.

Visibility

The Nashville Sign can be viewed from street level all the way east to the Broadway and 8th Avenue intersection. This direct and continuous view extends for just shy of a mile. Additionally, the sign is visible from many high rise buildings in the Downtown, Midtown, Gulch, and Demonbreun areas.

Dwell Time

According to Nashville Public Works, dwell time at the intersection immediately in front of the location is 60 seconds or more in average traffic and more than 90 seconds in high traffic. Considering that the display is clearly visible from 8th Avenue, total viewing time for westbound traffic is substantially longer, allowing viewers to see the entire rotation multiple times at any time of day.
